Deltona, FL - Testing for the COVID-19 virus is coming to Volusia County sometime next week. So says State Representative David Santiago.
In a Facebook video, Santiago said that he's heard from many constituents on when testing could start in Volusia County. He started working the phones, talking to local hospital CEOs, other health care officials, the Governor's Office, and Sheriff Chitwood to try and facilitate testing facilities in our county. He says those conversations have brought about agreement for two drive-thru testing facilities, one on the east side of the county and one on the west. "That's going to be accessible to all of us. The parameters and the guidelines for those that can get tested will come out shortly."
