Sexual Abuse Suspect Facing 30 Additional Charges For Child Porn

Deltona, FL - A man accused of recording and uploading videos of himself sexually battering a 9-year-old girl will now face an additional 30 charges of child pornography possession, according to investigators.

The Volusia Sheriff's Office (VSO) says additional investigation and data extraction into 32-year-old John Taylor's case from October is what led to the additional charges to be filed.

Taylor, who remains in custody at the Volusia County Branch Jail, was arrested by deputies back on October 30th after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that said the defendant uploaded six videos containing suspected child pornography using a Kik Messenger account.

While his new charges carry a bond of $15,000 each—totalling $450,000—Taylor is still denied bond because of his initial charges of sexual battery on a child, lewd or lascivious molestation, and two counts of promoting a sexual performance of a child.

According to court documents from the Volusia County Clerk of Courts, Taylor is scheduled to attend a pretrial hearing on February 12th.
