Daytona Beach, FL - Officers are investigating after a couple was found shot dead at a rehabilitation center.

The report from the Daytona Beach Police Department says that officers were called to Daytona Beach Health & Rehabilitation just before 11 a.m. yesterday (November 29th) with reports of deceased persons.

Nurses at the rehab center told investigators that Jane Shook was seen outside of her room talking with another person when her husband, William Shook, arrived around 9:30 to visit her. Jane apparently told her husband that she wanted to go home.

According to the witness narrative, William said he couldn't take her home and that he needed to talk to her in her room. Not long after the couple returned to the room, nurses heard two gunshots.

Inside, employees found both William and Jane dead. Police report that Jane was found in a reclining chair with a single gunshot wound to the head, while William was found bent over a bath tub with a similar gunshot wound and a .38 revolver laying next to him.

The investigation remains active as of this morning. This is also the fourth shooting death investigation in Daytona in the past two weeks.
