Publix: COVID-19 Vaccine Appts Closed Until More Inventory Arrives

Posted

Daytona Beach,  FL - Appointments for the COVID-19  vaccine at Publix pharmacies are on hold, pending the arrival of more inventory. At this time, there is no waiting list for future vaccinations. According to the Publix website, they are looking at this option for the future. Continue to check the COVID-19 Vaccine page for updates regarding email notification availability.

Pharmacies in four counties in central Florida, Volusia, Flagler, St. Johns, and Marion, all show FULLY BOOKED. It's unclear how many days of appointments have been booked but Publix officials had said the pharmacies would be able to distribute about 100 vaccinations per day.

The Publix website says that if you have an appointment that you can't make, there's no need to cancel, just don't show up for your appointment. You will not be able to reschedule until more vaccine doses are available.

When you go for the first appointment, you will be scheduled for the second dose in the same time slot 28 days from the first dose, depending on availability. You will also receive a notification about one week prior to the second appointment.
