Port Orange Fire Chief On Paid Leave

Port Orange, FL - The chief of the Port Orange Fire Department (POFD), Ken Fustin, is on paid administrative leave. The leave comes after an incident between himself and Volusia County Director of Public Protection Joe Pozzo.

Port Orange City Council member from District 2, Chase Tramont, confirms "that there are very serious allegations" against the chief. The City Manager is "thoroughly investigating the incident to determine the validity of the alleged claims." Tramont said that the council will "address it accordingly, pending the outcome of the investigation."

Tramont also said, "We take the decorum and professionalism of all of our department heads very seriously. We hold them all to the highest standards."
