Ormond Beach Woman Dies After Crashing Into DBFD Truck

Daytona Beach, FL - Investigators say that a 52-year-old Ormond Beach woman may have been going 80 mph when she t-boned the rear of a Daytona Beach Fire Department (DBFD) truck yesterday (March 6) afternoon. The car hit the fire truck so hard, it rolled and five fire-fighters suffered minor injuries. The truck was coming out of the West Marine store nearby and was struck by the woman's car while attempting to cross the southbound lanes of Clyde Morris.

Daytona Beach Police (DBPD) were called to the scene just after 5 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Clyde Morris Boulevard just before the intersection of West International Speedway Boulevard / U.S. 92. 

No charges are pending.
