City will also institute fines and penalties

Orange City, FL - Five cities in Volusia County are now requiring masks following another emergency ordinance passed by city leaders.

Orange City is the latest addition to cities in the area requiring face masks, behind Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, DeLand and Ormond Beach.

Similar exceptions are put in place, which states that children under the age of two, those with a breathing condition and those who work in public safety are not required to wear a mask.

You can find the full list of guidelines here.

And, similar to DeLand's mask mandate, Orange City's ordinance also listed specific penalties and fines for not wearing a mask. Fines start at $25 for a first offense, $50 for a second and $100 for every offense thereafter.
