Volusia County, FL - A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Volusia County that lasts until 10 p.m.

That's according to the National Weather Service of Melbourne, who says the area can expect some strong to severe storms in the afternoon with a very low risk for a brief tornado.
The line of storms is moving northeast at around 50 to 60 knots. High winds are to be expected along with heavy rain and thunder.
Meteorologists with NWS say that the storm in the Daytona Beach area could last up to two hours.
