NSB City Hall Is Back In Business

New Smyrna Beach, FL - After a week of canceled meetings and employees self-quarantining after they were exposed to people who tested positive for COVID‐19, New Smyrna Beach City Hall reopened today and will host four city meetings tomorrow.

The Community Redevelopment Agency starts things off at 5 p.m. They'll discuss the possibility of awarding a contract for the Jefferson Street Parking Lot Construction Project.

The Board of Elections meets at 5:30 to declare the results of the 2020 General Election and certify the results of the Charter Amendment Referendum.

At 5:45, there will be a swearing-in ceremony for Mayor Russ Owen, Zone Three City Commissioner Jason McGuirk, and Zone Four Commissioner Randy Hartman. Zone Two Commissioner Jake Sachs will be appointed Vice Mayor for one year.

The City Commission meeting begins at 6:30 where they will talk about the purchase of a 2021 Freightliner M2 storm basin truck, likely approve the hiring of three new Code Enforcement officers, and the approval of a Coastal Christmas Market special event.
