Volusia County, FL - At least three cities in Volusia County will hold National Night Out events later today. The event is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.
Members of the Holly Hill Police Department will be on the front lawn of City Hall from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. You can find out more on their Facebook page.
DeLand Police officers will be at Earl Brown Park from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Police and fire vehicles will be on hand. There will be a K-9 and a crash demonstration.
In Orange City, the event will be at Veterans Memorial Park from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Members of the Orange City PD will be there for face painting, raffles, giveaways, and a hula hoop contest for all ages.
