Mail-In Ballots Are Still Available

Posted

DeLand, FL - The Florida Presidential Preference Primary takes place just two weeks from today. You can still order a mail-in ballot and early voting in Volusia and Flagler counties begins this Saturday.

More than 33,000 mail-in ballots have been returned to the Volusia Elections Office and about 5,400 have been returned in Flagler County. The returns in both counties show Republicans outnumbering Democrats by almost two to one.

You can return your ballot through the mail or you can turn it in during early voting, March 7 through the 14.  You CANNOT turn it on Election Day. If you wait until that day, you will have to vote the old-fashioned way.  If you are returning a mail-in ballot, election officials remind you to make sure the ballot is signed.

You can request a mail-in ballot through March 7 online in Volusia or Flagler counties or by calling your local elections office. Officials remind you to sign your ballot or it will not count.
