Volusia County, FL-Volusia County’s Pet Vet Cruiser will make its rounds in September,
offering pre-approved low-cost spaying and neutering services to
financially eligible owners of dogs and cats in unincorporated areas and
the cities of DeLand and South Daytona.
Here’s where the mobile clinic will be stationed:
● Rockin' Ranch, 801 S. Nova Road, Ormond Beach: Sept. 20
● Oakbrook Professional Center, 931 N. Spring Garden Ave., DeLand:
Sept. 27
Fees are based on income, and for the services an appointment is
required.
Volusia County Animal Services is also accepting appointments at its
spay/neuter clinic at 1250 Indian Lake Road, Daytona Beach. The clinic
provides low-cost and reduced-fee animal sterilization to residents of
unincorporated areas of Volusia County and the cities of DeLand and
South Daytona. Services at the spay/neuter clinic are by appointment
only.
Residents seeking low-cost pet spaying and neutering must show proof of
public assistance, such as a Medicaid, Women, Infants and Children (WIC)
or food stamp identification card. Residents must also show proof of
income and meet income eligibility guidelines, which are based on the
number of people in the household and the annual household income.
Prices range from $15 to $65 and are based on income. Residents who do
not meet the criteria for the guidelines will be referred to another
low-cost spay/neuter program.
Services at the clinic include spay and neuter surgeries, rabies
vaccinations, and county licenses for owners of pets who live in
unincorporated Volusia County and the cities of DeLand and South
Daytona. Residents with cats that are spayed or neutered under the
county trap/neuter/return, free-roaming cat and return-to-field programs
will receive a feline distemper vaccination and ear-tipping in addition
to the rabies vaccination.
Fees are based on income. Appointments are required and may be made by
calling 386-323-3575 in Daytona Beach, 386-626-6643 in DeLand, or
