Fundraiser In Honor Of Gloria Max

Exec. Director Of Jewish Federation Asked For Fundraiser Before She Passed Away

Ormond Beach, FL - Even in death, Gloria Max, Executive Director of the Jewish Federation of Volusia & Flagler Counties, Inc, is still raising money. Her Executive Assistant Janice L. Sumner set up the "Gloria Max Memorial Fund" on mightycause.com.

The Gloria Max Memorial Fund honors our longtime Executive Director who passed away Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, after a heroic battle with cancer.

Gloria specifically asked last week for a fundraiser to be created in her honor. Your donation will help the Jerry Doliner Food Bank provide meals for the less fortunate for Thanksgiving and Christmas/Hanukkah. And it will fund the school supply project, which she started in 1996 and which has since provided more than 120,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to area children in need.

As always, 100% of donations will go to aid people in need because the Jewish Federation pays all administrative costs. We provide services regardless of race or religion and, in fact, 98% of our clients are not Jewish.

In remembering Gloria's extraordinary life and her inspiring passion to help people in need, we stay true to the Federation's mission statement, which she always liked to include in fundraising efforts:

Our mission represents our community's most generous tradition -- to give to the less fortunate, even in the most difficult times.

God Bless Gloria Max and her family!
