FPCHS Student Faces Drug Charges

Palm Coast, FL - A 17-year-old Flagler Palm Coast High School female student is facing a number of drug charges after being found in possession of contraband and cash while at school yesterday (May 17) afternoon.

The student's backpack was searched after School Administrators and School Resource Deputies got a tip that the student may be carrying vape dab pens on campus. School policy allows for the search, which revealed multiple "Budnaked" brand premium blunt rolls with THC, "DANK" brand vape pen cartridges with THC, and the student's wallet, which held $816 in cash.

The "Budnaked" rolls and "DANK" cartridges all tested positive for the presence of THC with SRDs using the Lynn Peavey Quick Test Kit. Based on package markings, the THC levels ranged from 85% to 100% in the product.

"We have a zero tolerance for drugs on school campuses. It would appear from what was found along with the cash this student had, that she may have been trying to create and illegal drug enterprise," Sheriff Rick Staly said. "Parents, if you see your kids with packages like this, it's not candy. Talk to your kids and make sure they understand that possession or selling this junk is not legal in Florida."

The teen was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Hashish (a felony), Possession of Marijuana, less than 20 grams, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was processed through the Flagler County Jail and turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Daytona Beach.
