Four Charged In Death Of Daytona Beach Woman

UPDATE: (September 20) - The Daytona Beach Police Department reports that two of the four men, 21-year-old Kimba Kimble and 21-year-old Jaquez Head, are in the Volusia County Jail being held without bond. The other two men involved in Friday's murder at the Brentwood Apartments, 20-year-old Armonta Waters and 18-year-old Jordan Graham, are on the run.

Kimble is charged with Third Degree Felony Murder. Head is charged with Murder While Engaged in a Felony and Principal Robbery with a Firearm. DBPD has outstanding warrants for the arrests of Waters and Graham, who are both Murder While Engaged in a Felony and Principal Robbery with a Firearm.

DBPD says the shooting was an isolated incident that started as an attempted drug deal, turned to robbery, turned to homicide. The victim is from Valdosta, Georgia area.  Three of the four suspects are from Valdosta. It's not clear at this time if they frequented each other’s residence.

Daytona Beach, FL - Four men are charged in the death of 18-year-old Rachel Gasparini. Daytona Beach Police say she died of multiple gunshot wounds yesterday (September 18) afternoon at the Brentwood Apartments on Brentwood Drive.

Multiple units responded  just after 5 p.m.  with 9-1-1 calls reporting anumber of shots fired. They arrived to find Gasparini on the ground but still alive. Witnesses and neighbors, along with officers,  were applying pressure to her wounds when paramedics arrived.  She was alert and conscious but suffered multiple gunshots wounds to her upper body.  Gasparini was transported to Halifax Hospital but died from her wounds at 5:48 p.m.

Witnesses told DBPD that the black male suspects fled the area in a  green in color vehicle. A BOLO was issued  and Holly Hill officers located the vehicle near 6th Street and Commercial Drive.  Three suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled on  foot. K-9 officers deployed their K-9 partners and they were caught quickly in the 700 block of Grove Avenue in Holly Hill.
