Tallahassee, FL - A former Volusia County Schools (VCS) district administrator is without an education permit permanently due to her part in the use of 'placebo' AP exams in 2019.  Teresa Marcks was the Chief Academic Officer at the time. She approved the assessment plan by Mainland Principal Cheryl  Salerno to test 90 or fewer students using the College Board's AP Seminar exam. In comparison, nearly 340 students took a school-level exam that would not result in college credit.
