Another round of vaccinations headed to fairgrounds

DeLand, FL - Another round of COVID-19 vaccinations is coming to the Volusia County Fairgrounds this week, with appointments opening up very soon.

Once again, the event will be a drive-up site for those who are 65 and older and the only vaccine offered is the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.

Important Information

Appointments will open at 9 a.m. Wednesday (January 20th) while vaccinations take place on Thursday, Friday, and Monday (January 21st, 22nd, and January 25th).

Appointments can be made ONLY on the county's website: www.countyofvolusia.eventbrite.com. Do not trust any website that requires any financial information to secure an appointment, as there is no cost for the appointment or the vaccine.

Those who cannot access the internet may call 866-345-0345 to get assistance in making an appointment. Calls will be answered in the order they are received and may be busy due to high call volumes.

Registration will be open until all spots for the event are filled. The county is expecting appointments to fill up quickly because of high demand and low inventory.

Individuals will be required to complete a screening and consent form before they are vaccinated. Anyone who has had any other vaccinations in the previous 14 days or tested positive for COVID-19 in the previous 10 days does not qualify for the vaccine.

A full list of screening questions which may disqualify an individual from vaccine eligibility can be found on the county's Department of Health website.

Individuals with appointments are asked to arrive at the site an hour before their appointment is scheduled.
