Edgewater, FL - An Edgewater man is already facing a minimum of 20 enhanced counts of child porn possession, but more charges are pending after detectives discovered around 1,500 files during their investigation.

Investigators have also learned that 30-year-old Aaron Crump has been using an online alias to communicate with young girls from around the country and request nude photos. Crump was arrested by the Volusia Sheriff's Office (VSO) Crime Suppression Team at his Mango Tree Drive home on Friday (January 23rd).

The investigation into Crump began in October after VSO received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that more than 350 files of suspected child pornography had been uploaded to an online storage account. Search warrants were obtained by investigators after detectives identified Crump as the defendant.

In December 2020, detectives conducted a traffic stop on Crump in Ormond Beach and questioned him about the case. Crump soon admitted to using the name "Mark Little" for his online accounts. According to detectives, Crump told investigators that he portrayed a younger male online and exchanged nude photos with several teenage girls from other states.

Investigators also researched two 2019 cases that involved Crump—both of which involved two 11-year-old girls, one in Minnesota and one in Michigan. In the Michigan case, the girl's father alleged that his daughter was communicating with an adult named "Mark Little" who was requesting nude photos. "Mark" reportedly told the girl he was 17 years old and lives near Disney World. He also talked about her about pinning her down, handcuffing her and performing sex acts on her, and asked her to take pictures of her little sister while she was sleeping, according to the report.

Detectives also found out that Crump has been using file-sharing applications to share child pornography without being detected.

A release from VSO says Crump's current charges are just the initial charges, as more are pending. He remains in the Volusia County Branch Jail on a $500,000 bond.
