Edgewater, FL - The city of Edgewater's Family Fest, rescheduled from March for this Saturday, May 1, happens at Hawks Park from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and attendance is free.

A Business Expo, an event created to help businesses and residents learn more about the businesses located in the community, runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The EDGEfest BBQ Contest takes place from noon until 4 p.m.  Tasting is $5 per person and kids under ten get to taste for free. There will also be live music, a corn hole tournament, and a beer and wine garden.

Military veterans will be honored during the day with the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR) bringing their Vietnam Wall and Global War on Terror Wall to Hawks Park. The purpose of having the walls on display is to educate the community and students on the "Cost of Freedom." At noon, Amvets will have a Veteran's Ceremony and the PGR will stand a Flag Line during the ceremony. That will be followed at 2 p.m. by a wreath-laying in front of the walls.
