Daytona Beach, FL - A woman is recovering in the hospital after she was reportedly involved in an accident that includes an officer with the Daytona Beach Police Department (DBPD).
Not many details are available about the crash. But, according to the DBPD, the accident occurred around 8:20 Tuesday (June 15) morning. It's also not clear about how the accident actually happened, other than the officer was "involved in a crash with a bicyclist," per the DBPD, near the intersection of Dr. Mary Mcleod Bethune and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevards.
The female bicyclist, who remains unidentified by police, was transported to Halifax Health Medical Center where she is listed in stable condition and is currently resting.
Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the situation. News Daytona Beach has reached out to state troopers for more information.
