DBPD Needs Help Identifying Woman Hit And Killed By Car

Victim Was Crossing U.S. 1 On Foot Near Cedar St.

Daytona Beach, Fl -  Daytona Beach Police say that a woman hit and killed while crossing Ridgewood Avenue on foot last night (September 23) did not have any identification on her person. Other methods of identifying her have not been successful. DBPD can confirm that she is white. They are asking for help from the public to find out who she is.

The 63-year-old Daytona Beach woman driving the vehicle involved stayed on scene and spoke to investigators with DBPD’s Traffic Homicide Unit. They say the driver of the Dodge Caravan was heading south on U.S. 1 using the outside (right) lane when the victim stepped out in front of the van while attempting to cross U.S. 1 on foot heading west.

Charges are pending the conclusion of the investigation.
