Daytona Beach, FL - The new Tom Staedt Veterans Memorial Bridge is a crime scene after someone used black and pink spray paint to put graffiti on a number of vertical supports over the weekend.
Daytona Beach Police were alerted to the graffiti around 4:30 p.m. on Halloween. They found damage at the midpoint of the bridge with the words "EAT THE RICH" and "ETR". All of the vertical supports have damage on them, mostly on the south side.
DBPD is calling the crime Criminal Mischief with Property Damage over $1,000. There is no damage repair estimate available.
At this time, there is no suspect or witness information and it's unknown when the vandalism took place. Anyone who saw anything or might know who did it is asked to contact the DBPD.
