DBPD Investigating Seabreeze Blvd Shooting

UPDATE: The Daytona Beach Police Department has identified the suspect as 44-year-old Jason Shelly of Somerville, TN. The victim is identified as 33-year-old Jason Fox.

Daytona Beach, Fl - Officers are investigating an early morning shooting that has one person injured and one person in custody.

According to Daytona Beach police, it started with an argument between two men, one sitting outside and one in a black Mustang, outside of Angelo's Pizza House on Seabreeze Boulevard around 3:30 this morning (May 15th).

Police say that the men got into an argument with each other over loud music that was coming out of the Mustang.

As the argument continued, the driver walked up to the other man sitting outside and reportedly shoved him.

That's when investigators believe that man used a gun to shoot the driver in the ribs.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm.

Daytona Beach police say that both men have been uncooperative so far in the investigation and their identities are not available yet.
