DBPD Has A Busy Night With A Shooting & Crowd Dispersal

Daytona Beach, FL - Daytona Beach Police are investigating a shooting that happened last night (May 23) at the 7-Eleven near the Boardwalk.  DBPD spokesperson Messod Bendayan reports that two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He also said that the suspect is in custody.  No other information is available at this time and the investigation is ongoing.

DBPD also had to break up a couple of gatherings around the city, one beachside and another on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Blvd. Officers were deployed to both areas for crowd control. The crowds were compliant when asked to disperse. No arrests were made.
