DBPD Catches Shooter Quickly After Road Rage Incident

Posted

Daytona Beach, FL - With traffic bumper to bumper yesterday (June 12) afternoon on A-1-A, Daytona Beach Police (DBPD) says a road-rage incident between the driver of a car and the victim, who was in a truck, made the delays even worse.

Several Facebook posts show the two men get out of their vehicles near Harvard Avenue, wrestle a little bit, break apart and then one man shot the other. The shooter was able to get away but he didn't get far. DBPD caught up with him on Halifax Avenue, just south of University Boulevard. The shooter is in jail but DBPD has not released his name or charges yet. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
