Earlier report below.

Daytona Beach, FL - A man who was shot dead during dinner with his family makes a total of three homicides in Daytona Beach in just 10 days.

According to Daytona Beach police, 36-year-old Fausto Flores-Hernandez was eating with his family at his Franklin Street residence when they heard gunshots come from outside.

The report says that he got up to look and see where it came from. He left the table, and when he opened his front door he was shot in the head. His family came to help and render aid but he was pronounced dead by medical personnel after they arrived at the scene.

Three adults and two minors, ages 11 and 12, were home at the time of the incident.

Police also say that 19 spent rifle casings were found in the street where the shots came from. Several rounds struck the structure, windows, and a single round struck the front door. Investigators are not sure if suspects left on foot or in a vehicle.

This investigation now makes a total of three homicides for DBPD just this month.

Last Sunday (November 17th), Sammy Watson was found shot off of Margie Lane and was subsequently hospitalized, he passed away just this Sunday (November 24th). Eric Gordon was another male who was found shot to death in a car outside of Campbell Middle School.

As of right now, officers say there is no correlation between these three deaths, but gunmen are sought in each case. An email from the Daytona Beach Police Department says they plan to brief the public on their most recent findings at 3 p.m.
