Daytona Man Caught With Gun At Disney World

Terry Bruce

Orlando, FL - Deputies arrest a Daytona Beach man after he almost brought a gun into Walt Disney World.

Now he's facing charges, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Last Tuesday (May 7th), OCSO says a deputy was working at the Walt Disney World Ticket and Transport Center when WDW security reported that they found a gun during a bag check.

At the bag check area, OCSO made contact with 29-year-old Terry Bruce, a Daytona Beach resident.

Security told the deputy that as they were checking Bruce's bag they found a firearm.

The deputy took a look inside an open pocket where he found a 9mm pistol in a holster, with two magazines attached to the holster.

Bruce told deputies that he usually keeps the gun in his car, but he was switching cars and he said he always takes it with him. He also said he forgot it was in his bag.

The report from OCSO also says that Bruce said he had every intention to leave the gun in his vehicle.

When asked if he had a concealed carry license, Bruce said no.

Bruce gave the deputy his driver's license and a copy of a sales receipt from Buck's Gun Rack in Daytona Beach, showing that he purchased the 9mm pistol.

The pistol was also not reported stolen through teletype.

Bruce was charged with carrying a concealed weapon. Court records show that he has posted $2,500 bond.
