DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - One of Daytona Beach's most anticipated new businesses officially has its opening date. The currently under-construction location within OneDaytona will open its doors to the public on February 22nd of next year.
The revelation of Costco's opening date didn't come through an official announcement. The revelation was first reported by Hometown News Volusia, who reported on mailers sent out to Costco subscription customers.
The date chosen for the opening of Costco falls just four days after the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway across the street, February even more jam-packed with events than usual. Daytona Bike Week 2024 is also in close proximity, taking place March 1st through 10th.
Costco membership is $80 per year, allowing subscribers to take advantage of significant discounts on everyday products by buying in bulk. The addition of Costco into OneDaytona also serves to advance Daytona Beach's apparent efforts to re-establish itself as a hub of business and commerce. The addition of several major new retailers in OneDaytona following the Daytona Rising renovations to the speedway have resulted in a much larger commercial draw on that particular stretch of International Speedway Blvd.
