COVID-19 Vaccinations Available At Publix In Volusia & Flagler Counties

Posted

Ponte Vedra, FL - Governor Ron DeSantis has announced that a multitude of Publix stores across Volusia and Flagler counties are now scheduling appointments for the COVID-19 vaccination. You do have to be eligible under Florida's current requirements which include healthcare personnel with direct patient contact, residents, and staff in long-term healthcare facilities, and persons 65 years of age and older.

You can make an appointment at publix.com/covid-vaccine.

There are also a few recommendations from the CDC on whether you should wait to get your vaccination: If you've received passive antibody treatment therapy for COVID-19, you should wait 90 days. If you've already received one vaccine, you should wait at least 14 days for the next one. If you've tested positive or your doctor told you that you had COVID-19, you should wait until 90 days after symptoms have been resolved. If you've been exposed to someone who tested positive, you should wait until after the end of the quarantine period.

Each store can schedule approximately 120 vaccinations per day, while supplies last.
