Daytona Beach, FL - A two-day COVID-19 vaccination clinic for people age 65 and older is scheduled for next week in Daytona Beach. The drive-through clinic will be done on a first come, first served basis.
The Florida Department of Health in Volusia County, (DOH-Volusia) in partnership with the City of Daytona Beach, is holding the free clinic at Daytona Stadium on Monday and Tuesday, January 4th and 5th, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. The stadium is lcated at 3917 LPGA Boulevard, about two miles north of International Speedway Boulevard.
There will be no cost for COVID-19 vaccinations offered by DOH-Volusia.
Photo IDs will be required to receive a vaccination.
DOH-Volusia encourages people that want the vaccination to contact their primary care provider with questions about whether they should receive the vaccine before presenting to the vaccination site.
The Moderna vaccine is being provided at this event. Before getting the vaccination, you will receive the Moderna Fact Sheet on the Emergency Use Authorization and information on what to expect during and after the injection. You'll also be required to complete a medical screening form and sign an informed consent form before receiving a vaccination.
After the vaccination, you'll receive a 2nd dose reminder card listing the date and the manufacturer for the first vaccination. The Moderna booster vaccination should be received 28 days after the initial dose. The second dose must be from the same manufacturer as the first vaccine.
