Port Orange, FL - Port Orange Mayor Don Burnette announces during the city's budget meeting that City Manager Jake Johansson will take an extended leave of absence.
Mayor Burnette—who made the announcement near the end of the city's budget meeting—did not elaborate as to why Johnasson called for the time off, but said that it is family related.
It's also unclear as to how long Johansson will be gone. Since he has requested for an extended leave of absence, which is usually 30 days or more, the city council will have to meet again to decide who will fill the interim spot.
Mayor Burnette said that meeting will be held at the Lakeside Community Center on Tuesday, September 29th at 5:30 p.m.
