Bunnell Man Charged With Molesting Teen Girl

Bunnell, FL - An investigation into a reported molestation case that began in February 2020, results in the arrest of 33-year-old Calib Callard on Friday (April 17) afternoon. He's charged with Lewd and Lascivious Behavior of a Victim 12-16 Years Old by an Offender Over 18.

The victim, who was 13-years-old at the time of the crime, reported to the Flagler County Sheriff's Major Case Unit on February 20 that she and Callard had a relationship between April and August of 2019. She said they would kiss and that he touched her private parts through her clothing.

During the investigation, detectives met with Callard twice where he admitted to the relationship, claiming that it was a normal boyfriend/girlfriend relationship.  He also told them that his drinking problem may have had something to do with him having an inappropriate relationship with a minor.

“This is a child molester that took advantage of a child and needs to be locked up before he can harm
this victim or anyone else,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “For a grown 33-yeard old man to think a
relationship with a 13-year old child is normal shows that he is a deranged individual. I hope the victim is able to get the help she needs to recover.”

Callard is in the Flagler County Jail being held on a $15,000 bond. He does have a previous arrest history in Flagler County for Possession and Sale of Methamphetamine, Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Resisting Arrest, and Failure to Appear.
