Another Juvenile Arrested In Attack & Robbery Of Special Needs Teen

Bunnell, FL - An update from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) says another teen is now facing charges in relation to an attack and robbery of a special needs teen.

Investigators say the arrest came after the victim approached the sheriff's office on Wednesday (March 10th) in an attempt to recant their story. When detectives met with the victim to discuss their case, the victim told investigators that the suspects’ friends and relatives were harassing her in an attempt to get her to drop the charges.

According to FCSO, the main subject contacting the victim was 15-year-old Sabrina Henderson. The victim alleged that Henderson continually berated them over Facebook Messenger for five days and blamed them for ruining the teens’ lives, even after the victim asked Henderson multiple times to not contact them. They added that they felt safe about the investigation up until Henderson's harassment began.

The victim additionally confirmed that the sole reason they were upset and subsequently uncooperative with the State Attorney’s Office was due to how they were being treated by Henderson.

Investigators later made contact with Henderson, who claimed that she was aware of the victim's disability and said she was contacting the victim in order to "learn the truth." Henderson tried to justify her behavior, but when she was confronted with the evidence she said she no longer wanted to speak to law enforcement.

"For 5 days, this girl continually blamed and harassed the victim to the point that she suffered such emotional trauma that she broke down and stopped cooperating with the State Attorney’s Office in an attempt to get the harassment to stop," Flagler Sheriff Rick Staly said. "These kids need to know that their actions have serious consequences and it is not okay to bully or badger anyone, especially a victim of a crime."

Henderson was arrested and charged with harassing a victim, which, in Florida, is punishable at the same level or a level higher than the charge of original offense. In this case, Henderson was charged with a first-degree felony. She was processed at the Flagler County Jail just before she was released to the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), who released Henderson to her parent.

"The DJJ system is broken," added Sheriff Staly.

Henderson's arrest follows the arrests of 16-year-old Jack Edward Fisher, 17-year-old Madeline Alexis Zinno, and 17-year-old Angelina Hernandez, all of whom have been charged in the incident.
