Palm Coast, FL - A five-month investigation by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) Cyber Crimes Unit (CCU) after a tip from Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) resulted in an arrest warrant for  77-year-old Edgar Alloway. He's charged with twelve counts of Possession of Images of the Sexual Performance by a Child.

The CyberTip identified an AOL account belonging to Alloway that had uploaded twenty files containing child pornography. A search warrant issued November 20, 2020, led to the seizure of several electronic devices at 18 Banton Lane in Palm Coast, Alloway’s residence. Forensic analysis found numerous images and videos of child pornography. Due to the nature of the images, the charges were upgraded from third-degree felonies to second-degree.

The arrest warrant was issued on Friday, January 29, 2021. Alloway was arrested the same day, booked into the Flagler County Jail, and released the next day on a $120,000 bond.

“Detective Lashbrook of our Cybercrimes Unit did a great job in building a strong case,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “This type of disgusting behavior will not be tolerated in our community and is exactly why I started our Cyber Crimes/ICAC Unit. My warning to other perverts, you’re next! We also thank VCSO and the North Florida ICAC Task Force for their assistance with this case.”
