24-Year-Old Shot to Death in Daytona Beach

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - 24-year-old Donnell Williams was killed on Sunday in a fatal shooting, according to a statement issued Monday by the Daytona Beach Police Department. Little is known to the public about what led up to his death.

According to the DBPD's report, a 911 call was placed at around 11:45 pm regarding a stabbing at 505 Jean Street. Officers arrived and found Williams on the floor in an apartment, soaked in blood. He had reportedly been shot, not stabbed, and he was promptly transported to Halifax Hospital.

After life-saving efforts, Williams was pronounced dead at Halifax. The DBPD's investigation into the homicide is underway, and little else is currently known.
