Volusia County, FL - Volusia County teens who like to write from the heart are invited to submit their poems for judging in the 14th Annual Teen Poetry Contest, sponsored by Friends of the New Smyrna Beach Library.
Students in grades 6 through 12 are eligible. Cash prizes of $75, $50 and $25 will be awarded in middle school and high school divisions.
Entry forms are available at the New Smyrna Beach Regional Library, 1001 S. Dixie Freeway. One entry per person will be accepted. The deadline for submission is 6:30 PM, Thursday, April 20.
Participants are invited to share their poems during a reception at 6 PM, Thursday, April 27, in the library’s auditorium.
