Nurses Week 5K Hosted By FL Hospital Fish Memorial

Orange City, FL. – In honor of Nurses Week, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial will host a 5K run on May 7 in Orange City.

Finisher medals will be provided. The race begins at 7:30 a.m. at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial, Summit Building, 1061 Medical Center Drive, Orange City.

A family-friendly event, there will also be a children’s race for ages 11 and under and walkers are also encouraged to attend. Activities include complimentary mini-manicures by BoCo Salon and Spa, Lechmaier Family Chiropractic chair massages, a photo booth and more.

Proceeds from the Nurses Week 5K will benefit nursing education programs at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial. Attendees are encouraged to donate a non-perishable food item at race package pick up to benefit Community Life Center Outreach Services food pantry.

National Nurses Week begins May 6, on Nurse Recognition Day, and ends on May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, founder of nursing as a modern profession. This week celebrates the impact the many different ways America's 3.1 million registered nurses work to save lives and to improve the health of millions of individuals.
