Deltona, FL- Stephanie Williams will present a free Bear Aware workshop at 5:30 p.m.
Monday, June 27, at the Deltona Regional Library, 2150 Eustace Ave.,
Deltona.
Williams, education director for the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical
Gardens, will offer tips on how to co-exist with Florida black bears.
She’ll also explain how vital these large mammals are to the
ecosystems in which they live and how important it is to protect their
habitat.
The zoo recently broke ground on a new bear exhibit with three Florida
black bears to educate the public on how to co-exist with bears and
other wild animals that may venture into urban neighborhoods.
