Flagler County, FL– Flagler County’s approved budget is now available online in an easy-to-use flipbook format.
“Transparency is very important,” said Finance Director Lorie Bailey-Brown. “The Government Finance Officers Association for the past eight consecutive years has awarded us with the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award and part of the criteria is its effectiveness as a communications device.”
She and her budget staff – Tammy Patten, budget manager, and Kelly Freshcorn and Brian Eichinger, both budget analysts – work diligently all year long to produce a document that serves the county as a policy document, financial plan, and an operations guide.
The Board of County Commissioners approved the budget for the 2017-18 fiscal year on September 21.
“Additional supplements to the document – not the budget itself – will be added before the end of the calendar year,” Patten said. “We will submit this year’s budget for an award once all the finishing touches have been made to it.”
