Daytona Beach Regional Library Plans Summer Programs For Kids

Daytona Beach, FL- Kids can beat the summertime blues with educational and entertaining

activities beginning June 13 at the Daytona Beach Regional Library at

City Island, 105 E. Magnolia Ave., Daytona Beach.

Weekly programs for children entering kindergarten through fifth grade

include:

● Marvelous Mondays at 2 p.m.: Activities will focus on magic,

paper airplanes, drums, a youth circus and more.

● Wacky Wednesdays at 2 p.m.: Programs will alternate between Wii

games and a Lego building club.

● Fun Fridays at 10:30 a.m.: Activities will include crafts, a

puppet show, yoga for kids, and a visit from Ronald McDonald.

● Family movies: 2 p.m. Sundays and Fridays

Registration is required only for groups of five or more. They must

preregister for all programs except the movies by calling 386-257-6038.

Children ages 5 and up can earn prizes for keeping and turning in a

reading log. Other reading programs include storytime programs for

babies, toddlers and preschoolers; and an early literacy program, 1000

Books before Kindergarten, for children from birth to 4 years old.

The library is open from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday
