New Smyrna Beach, FL-Volusia County Vice Chair Deb Denys will host a community meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at the Brannon Civic Center in New Smyrna Beach.
Denys, County Manager Jim Dinneen and staff from the Public Works Department will provide updates on numerous construction projects in the New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater and unincorporated areas of Volusia County at the meeting. Topics include:
● Smyrna Dunes Park boardwalk and facility improvements
● Bethune Beach Park hurricane repair improvements
● Hiles Avenue off-beach parking improvements
● 27th Avenue beach ramp improvements
● Inlet and Intracoastal Waterway channel dredging and beach disposal
● Marine wildlife and artificial habitat reef program
● Beach littering program
● Park Avenue widening
● Turnbull Bay Road Bridge replacement
● 10th Street widening
● East Central Regional Rail Trail
