City Of Daytona Beach Presents Midtown Motown Concert Series

Daytona Beach, FL Daytona Beach is bringing the best Motown tribute bands to midtown for a concert series that is sure to get your feet moving and grooving on the 2nd Saturday of every month from April to September.  

The Midtown Motown Concert series features 6 weekends of concerts and family fun. Every concert is held at the Cypress Park at the Midtown Cultural & Educational Center, 981 George West Engram Blvd., Daytona Beach, from 7 PM to 9 PM.  

“Our citizen’s really enjoyed the concert series last year, said Helen Riger, director of Cultural Services and Community Events.  We are so pleased that our sponsors have supported us to help bring back this great series for the 2017 summer.”

Cypress Pool will be open for free swimming until 9 pm during each concert.  Food and drinks from local restaurants including adult libations will be set up at the park.  Attendees can visit community programs booths and sign up for summer programs for kids, or just enjoy the music. 

Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs.  No coolers will be allowed in Cypress Park. Parking is available at Cypress Park. 

The Midtown Motown Concert Series is sponsored by City of Daytona Beach, Halifax Health Hospice, The U-Store, Cricket Wireless, Florida Hospital Memorial Center, Metro PCS, 99.5 the LOV, HOT 94.1, and the Southern Stone Event Group.

Headliner: The Love Band

May 13 – Opener: Bartee

Headliner: The Cornelius Brothers and Sister Rose

June 10 – Opener: “Motown Wonder” a Stevie Wonder Tribute (Ft. Derryck Lawrence)

Headliner: “Whitney” the Whitney Houston Tribute

July 8 – Opener: Two Timers

Headliner: “Missing Luther” the Luther Vandross Tribute (Ft. Eric Harris)

Aug. 12 – Opener: Linda Cole

Headliner: “The Motowners” the Temptations and 4 Tops Tribute

Sept. 9 – Headliner: Pocket Change
