Volusia County, FL- The following cities will be celebrating Independence Day on Sunday, July 3rd.

Palm Coast – The City of Palm Coast’s fireworks celebration on Sunday, July 3, at Central Park in Town Center! The “Fireworks in the Park” display will begin at 9 p.m.

Pre-fireworks family fun will be provided by the Flagler Education Foundation beginning at 5 p.m. at Central Park. The evening will include live entertainment, family fun and games, free prizes, music, dancing, bounce houses, and a cookout. Beach 92.7FM and Kix Country 98.7FM will provide music and entertainment. Frozen T-shirt contests, whipped-cream pie-eating contests, hula hoop, water balloons and other games will take place on the Central Park stage. There is no charge for entry, parking or participation. Edgewater- There will be live entertainment, food and various vendors at Menard-May Park and George R. Kennedy Park beginning at 5:00 PM. The day will culminate with a spectacular fireworks show by Zambelli Fireworks that is guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser.  Mark Sunday, July 3rd on your calendar and come spend it with your family, friends and neighbors in Edgewater.  

The following cities will be celebrating Independence Day on Monday, July 4th: 

 New Smyrna Beach- Residents and visitors may celebrate our nation’s independence with music, food and fireworks Monday, July 4, in the Canal Street Historic District. Gourmet food trucks will begin serving at 4 p.m. along Riverside Drive. Cactus Jack and the Cadillacs will play from 5-9:30 p.m. outside the Brannon Civic Center.  Fireworks begin over the river at 9:15 p.m. Riverside Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic from 4:30 - 10 p.m. For more information, please call the New Smyrna Beach Leisure Services Department at 386-424-2175.

Ormond Beach- Entertainment will stretch from City Hall Plaza across the Granada Bridge to Rockefeller Gardens. Rockefeller Gardens will feature “UpTUIT” and City Hall will feature “Brad Yates & Mo’Mentum” both playing from 7:00 p.m. – 9:15 p.m.Kids’ activities will be in Rockefeller Gardens (North Lawn) from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.  Kids’ activities include a rock climbing wall, a moon walk, an obstacle course, a giant slide, and more! The fireworks begin promptly at 9:30 p.m. on the Halifax River just south of the Granada Bridge. Please be aware that the parking area on South Beach Street adjacent to Cassen Park will be closed at 1:00 a.m. on Monday, July 4th, and will remained closed until 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5th.North Beach Street will be closed from Granada to Lincoln Avenue; South Beach Street will be closed from Granada to Division Avenue; and, Grove Street will be closed from Tomoka Avenue to Division Avenue.  Other side streets within the event area may be detoured or closed for the event. Free shuttle service will be available from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. to assist guests in getting back and forth across the Granada Bridge.  Pick-up and drop-off locations are at Beach Street and Granada Blvd. on the west side of the bridge, and at Riverside Drive and Granada Blvd. on east side of the bridge.  For more information, please contact Community Events at 676-3241 or visit the City’s website at www.ormondbeach.org.

Palm Coast – On Monday, July 4, the City of Palm Coast will have a public Independence Day Ceremony titled “By the Dawn’s Early Light.” The ceremony will begin at 8 a.m. at Heroes Memorial Park, 2860 Palm Coast Pkwy. NW, Palm Coast (1/2 mile west of the Flagler County Library).The Palm Coast Community Band will perform The Star-Spangled BannerAmerica the Beautiful, and God Bless America. The presentation of colors will be done by the Palm Coast Fire Department Honor Guard.In case of rain, the ceremony will be held at nearby Fire Station 21, 9 Corporate Drive, Palm Coast.To start off the Independence Day celebration, the City will have fireworks on Sunday, July 3, at 9 p.m. at Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave. Pre-fireworks family fun will begin at 5 p.m.For more information, contact Cindi Lane at 386-986-3708 or clane@palmcoastgov.com.

Port Orange-Let's celebrate Independence Day in style! Come on out to the City Center Complex for an evening full of entertainment and of course FIREWORKS!

City Hall Plaza will feature two kid's zones this year (one dry and the other prepared to get WET)! There will be moon bounces, slides, foam pit, petting zoo and live music by the Song Peddler!

Come grab some dinner at Food Court Alley and check out the roaming magicians, clowns, stilts walker, balloon animals and more!

On the Kenneth W. Parker Amphitheater check out the ever-popular live band Orange Avenue that will be playing all night long! Hang out and listen to the great music at the beer garden where all proceeds will benefit the Port Orange Family Days Community Trust!

Entertainment begins at 5:30pm with fireworks at 9pm! Bring your blankets and chairs for an evening of family fun for everyone

Votran Schedule Changes: 

Votran will operate a limited service schedule Monday, July 4. Riders are encouraged to plan their holiday travel in advance.

West Volusia routes 22, 24 and 60 will not operate. Connecting SunRail Routes 31, 32 and 33 will not operate as there will be no SunRail service July 4. Route 20 will operate every two hours beginning with the 7:26 a.m. southbound trip at Wal-Mart. Northbound trips will depart Market Place every two hours from 8:32 a.m. to 4:32 p.m. Routes 21 and 23 will operate on a Saturday schedule.

East Volusia routes 1, 3, 4, 10, 15 and 17 will operate on the Sunday schedule from the Intermodal Transit Facility in Daytona Beach.

Southeast Routes 40 and 41 will operate every two hours. Route 40 will not serve Swallowtail Drive and Village Trail. The first Route 40 southbound trip will depart Dunlawton Avenue and U.S. 1 at 6:42 a.m. Northbound trips will depart Canal Street and U.S. 1 every two hours from 7:44 a.m. through 5:44 p.m. The first Route 41 southbound trip will depart Canal Street and U.S. 1 at 6:57 a.m. Regular trips will depart every two hours from 8:47 a.m. through 4:47 p.m. The 2:57 p.m. trip departing Canal Street and U.S. 1 will be the only trip serving Oak Hill. Northbound Routes 4 and 17 will transfer passengers at Dunlawton and Orange avenues. Southbound Routes 4 and 17 will drop off passengers for Route 40 at Dunlawton Avenue and U S. Highway 1.

All other routes and New Smyrna Beach Flex service will not operate. Votran Gold will run a limited schedule and times to coincide with the July 4 fixed-route service. For Votran Gold service changes, contact the Votran Call Center.
