DeLand, FL-With support from the City of DeLand and the DeLand Area Chamber of Commerce, Creating Jobs Inc. is leading a monthly program for both existing and aspiring entrepreneurs based on their 300-page business training curriculum entitled “GrowBook: 24 Essential Drivers of Small Business Success.”

Beginning at 5:30 p.m. September 27, the DeLand City Hall, 120 South Florida Avenue, will host the ninth session of Accelerate which will flesh out chapter nine of GrowBook. Wednesday’s session is entitled, “Creating Unique Customer Solutions,” and will explain how to develop new products without diverting focus or crippling cash flow. The seminar will be taught by local businessmen Manny De La Vega (De La Vega Restaurante) and Shawn Clark (Frontier Communications). They will illustrate the chapter content from their own business experience.

Individual and group coaching will follow the presentation to assist attendees in applying the principles to their own ventures. The multiethnic team of seasoned coaches includes Mario Davis, Manny De La Vega, Shawn Clark, Deidra Jacobs, Jason Jurss, Nancy Benet, Rhonda Smith, Vernon Moore, Natalie Vanderhoof, Edith Duran, Evan Keller and John Meyer.

Accelerate aims to be a “multiethnic team of entrepreneurs helping each other grow businesses and use them to serve. It is a learning and supporting community which works to create jobs and build bridges across differences, helping the entire community to thrive.” Accelerate has been well attended, with nearly equal representation from multiple ethnic communities, and the written surveys and verbal feedback exude enthusiasm for the program, which seems to be meeting a felt need in the business community.

Accelerate meets every fourth Wednesday in 2017. Admission is $10 for each seminar and includes a light meal provided this month by Chick-Fil-A, as well as coaching from seasoned entrepreneurs.
