Woman Shot In Leg In Deltona Domestic Dispute

Deltona, FL-Update: Deputies say 26-year-old Emmanuel Rosado has been charged in a domestic dispute Sunday. Sheriff's officials say he shot his wife in the leg and also fired at deputies. No deputies were hurt. Rosado is being held on no bond. Earlier reporting follows: A man is in custody after a domestic dispute in Deltona today erupted in gunfire. Deputies say a woman was shot in the back of the leg. Deputies also exchanged gunfire with the suspect. No deputies were hurt. The domestic incident happened around 12:30 PM at a home in the 1900 block of Alameda Drive. The victim told deputies she had been trying to separate from her husband, but he showed up at the home acting crazy. He then, she said, locked her in the house and wouldn't let her leave.  There were three children in the home between the ages of 23-months and 7 years. She told deputies she asked him to leave, but he refused and tried to break into the bedroom where she was. Several minutes into the 911 call, a scream was heard and the line went dead. Deputies arriving at the home reported multiple gunshots fired through the door and a window in the home in the direction of the deputies. The suspect was not hit when deputies returned fire.After the victim and three children managed to get out of the residence, the suspect came out of the back of the house as ordered by deputies and was immediately taken into custody. The victim and the children were able to get out of the home.  The suspect came out of the home and was taken into custody. The woman was airlifted to the Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford. The husband is being questioned.
