Daytona Beach, FL - A DeLand woman sets up a robbery on a man she's been having sex with for almost a month.

That's what police say after they arrested 20-year-old Doretha Bembry yesterday afternoon (August 23rd) after she was reported to the police by her sexual partner.

Per the report, the 38-year-old victim and Bembry had been having relations for almost a month. Early yesterday morning, he was lured to an apartment at the Seabreeze Pointe Apartments off of Brentwood Drive in Daytona Beach by Bembry and another female.

Police say after the three engaged in sex, Bembry left the room and emerged with two males, both wearing "Jason" style hockey masks, who said they were there to rob him.

One of the men, who was armed with a handgun, struck him on the head with the weapon. The victim then ran for the door and was followed by the armed male who then began to fight him.

It was during that struggle that the armed assailant dropped the gun and the victim was able to escape the room. The second robber then chased him and tried to hit him with a chair.

The victim was able to escape from the apartment. However, the armed robber began chasing him and shooting at him. The victim managed not to get hit and began to search for someone who would call 911.

As he searched, he noticed that the men had stolen his car and left the area. When he finally made contact with police he told them that he left his jeans, car keys and $300 in the apartment when he took off.

Later that morning, he was able to identify Bembry via Facebook. Bembry was then located at the apartment of the second female who came with her to meet him. She was arrested that same afternoon.

Bembry is currently being held at Volusia County Jail on $29,000 bond for being principal to robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon with bodily harm.

The two masked men who assisted in the robbery are still at large.
