DBPD: Woman Falls From 7th Floor Of Daytona Beach Club, Dies In Apparent Suicide

Daytona Beach, FL Update: Police in Daytona believe the woman who died on Thursday after falling from the 7th floor of a Daytona Beach hotel killed herself.

According to police, 49-year-old Stacy V. Gano and her boyfriend, 59-year-old Lester Bruce Vega, had an altercation inside their hotel room (#706) at the Daytona Beach Club, 800 N Atlantica Ave, and in the hotel hallway. During the altercation, Gano went to the balcony, crossed over the railing, then hung from the balcony with her hands.

Vega grabbed her by the arms and tried to pull her back over but Gano made no attempt to come back over the railings. She fell to the pool deck and Vega and others rushed to her aid. Her boyfriend performed CPR until m1st responders arrived on scene. She was treated on scene but was pronounced dead at 10:22 AM

A woman died on Tuesday morning after falling from the 7th floor of a Daytona Beach hotel.

Witnesses heard screaming then saw a woman hanging from the balcony of a 7th story room with her boyfriend trying to help her back up. He was unable to pull her back up and she fell onto the pool deck.

Police say the woman was in her 50s and her boyfriend is cooperating with the investigation.

No other details have been released at this time.
