Palm Coast, FL - A woman was arrested and charged with home invasion robbery with a deadly weapon, battery and petit theft after unlawfully entering her ex-boyfriend's home and threatening him and his girlfriend with a knife.

According to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office (FCSO), Kaitlin McBride, 18, Zerington Court, told deputies she went to her ex-boyfriend's home around 4 AM, Saturday, Feb. 25, to pick up her cat and a "Black OPS 2" video game. She also told deputies her ex-boyfriend, Maxwell Celentano, 21, said she could come over anytime.

Celentano told deputies he and his girlfriend, Cassandra Courchesne, 20, were sleeping when McBride jumped on his girlfriend, punched her, threatened her with a knife and held them both at knifepoint against their will. McBride fled in a white vehicle when law enforcement was called.

While in response to Celentano's home on Senseney Path at 3:48 AM, a deputy spotted an older white Chevrolet Cavalier matching the description of the vehicle McBride was driving, traveling north on Seminole Woods Blvd. Deputies pulled over McBride's vehicle on State Road 100, east of Seminole Woods Blvd. and questioned her.

During the investigation a cat, video game and knife were found on the front passenger side floorboard. Based on interviews and evidence collected, McBride was arrested and taken to the Flagler County jail. She will remain there until her first appearance Sunday, Feb. 26.

Sheriff Rick Staly said, "This was very good police work in this home invasion. Our deputies did an excellent job of catching this suspect and preventing any more injury. I'm very proud of all those involved."
