Voter Registration Deadline Extended Due To Hurricane Matthew

DeLand, FL-Update: The deadline to register to vote has been extended to Wednesday due to Hurricane Matthew, per court order.  County Supervisor of Elections Lisa Lewis said, “The Department of Elections Office will be open both Tuesday and Wednesday until 7 pm. I want every voter to have the opportunity to register to vote. A voter may visit one of Volusia County’s public libraries or the elections office by 7 pm.”

Earlier reporting: Other Volusia County offices are closed today, but not so at the County Supervisor of Elections office in DeLand where doors will be open until 5PM.

Supervisor of Elections Lisa Lewis says, “I want anyone who would like to register to vote to have the opportunity. The deadline to register for the November 8 General Election is October 11. Our office will be open normal hours on Monday and we will be open until 7 pm Tuesday, October 11.”
