Volusia Schools To Host Over 100 Student Musicians At Upcoming Music Festivals

Volusia County, FL - Two Volusia County schools are gearing up to host students from all around the county at the upcoming 45th Annual Volusia All-County Music festivals.

At 7 PM on Friday, March 23, over one hundred Volusia middle and high school student musicians will perform at the All-County Orchestra Showcase. The concert will take place at DeLand High, located at 800 North Hill Avenue. The Festival Orchestra, which is composed of beginner orchestra students, is set to be conducted by Ms. Andrea Szarowicz, of Tampa. The Sinfonietta Orchestra, which is composed of advanced orchestra students, is set to be conducted by Ms. Laurie Bitters, of Winter Park.

At 2 PM on Saturday, March 24, over 45 Volusia middle and high school jazz band students will perform at the All-County Jazz Showcase. The concert will take place at Spruce Creek High, located at 801 Taylor Road in Port Orange. The middle school jazz band is set to be conducted by Mr. Jeff Cayer, of Tampa. The high school jazz band is set to be conducted by Mr. Gary Langford, Professor Emeritus from The University of Florida.
